Pure Fitout are currently seeking to employ an experienced buyer to join the growing team.
Job Includes:
The role will include but not be limited to:• Being the centralised buyer for a number of sites
• Preferably have experience within procurement in Construction
• Raising purchase orders
• Identifying potential suppliers and new products
• Contacting a range of suppliers to obtain quotations
• Agreeing delivery times
• Keeping detailed records and maintaining well‐organised schedules
• Assessing the reliability of suppliers
• Dealing effectively with challenges with suppliers and the flow of materials
• Maintaining cost reports in order to maximise efficiency within the business
• Negotiating and agreeing the most favourable terms possible
• Drive Purchasing policies and procedures throughout the organisation
• Source, maintain and develop a supplier database suitable to meet the varied purchasing requirements of the organisation.
• Commercially aware.
• Ambitious and self-motivated.
• Strong maths and budgeting abilities
• Analytical thinking skills
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Contribute to the day to day workings of their team and work on their own initiative.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Strong communication skills• Sound product and material knowledge in the relevant market
• Be able to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
• Have strong negotiation skills
• Be commercially minded
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft excel and word
• Desirable – be a member of CIPS or have a willingness to work towards the qualification.
• 1+ years’ experience ideally in construction / fit out environment/building supplies
