CAD Technician
The role presents an opportunity to join a fast paced, dynamic and growing business. The successful applicant will play a key role in the CAD team responsible for the coordination and delivery of commercial and bespoke fitout services.
Key requirements:
The role will include but not be limited to managing setting out and design coordination activities including:• Working closely with the Estimating team, receiving handover information on new contracts.
• Obtaining customer/architect design intent information.
• Producing working drawings from design intent.
• Issuing and administering all drawing approvals and construction issue documents for production.
• Preparing material cutting sheets for production for joinery and metal fabrication departments.
• Co-ordination of drawings and assembly details with site fixers.
• Providing effective communication and feedback information to all relevant parties.
• Liaising with sub-contract representative(s) / manufacturers & site installers where required to ensure the supply chain has a full and correct understanding of our requirements.
• Responding to on-site urgent / non-urgent requirements and facilitate effective problem solving to maximise customer satisfaction and minimise site fixing time.
• Being aware of client and site rules, works risk and health & safety regulations when preparing working drawings.
• Ensuring full compliance with statutory legislation, company and department procedures and guidelines.
• Ensuring Company policies and standards are always maintained along with commercial awareness and a strong commitment towards quality and customer service.
• Ensuring all department documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with company policy ensuring that all documentation is finished within the required time.
• Undertake any other duties as assigned by your Line Management.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Third level education in a Construction/Surveying/CAD related course.• Ability to deal professionally with customers/clients.
• Excellent organisational skills and clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong IT skills including Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong AutoCAD knowledge.
• Good written & oral communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines.
• Must have construction / fitout sector experience.
This is a full time permanent role, based at Pure Fitout (Unit 1, Central Park, Mallusk). The role offers a competitive salary and annual leave allowanceand includes company pension, cashback Healthcare and onsite parking.
