Health and Safety Advisor


Pure Fitout has an opportunity for a new Health and Safety Advisor to join the growing business & support our Head of Safety & Risk. This role would suit someone who has recently startedoff their journey in a health and safety career& wishes to progress further.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist the Head of Safety in implementing all Health-Safety-Welfare & Wellbeing programmes.
• Carry out audits of project sites, workplaces, work equipment& staff processes.
• Prepare reports, making recommendations for actions and highlight areas for improvement.
• Ensure staff are aware of their statutory duties and responsibilities.
• Deliver induction training; daily activity briefings and toolbox talks where required.
• Assist in the implementation and promotion of change and improvement initiatives.

This role involves extensive travel to sites in the UK & Ireland which will require overnight stays at some site locations.

Skills/Requirements:
Essential:

• + 3 Years experience of working in a health and safety role at a similar level and within the construction or fitout industry.
• Hold a minimum of NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of health, safety, and risk management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of current health and safety legislation, & management standards.
• Ability to provide authoritative advice on health and safety and risk management issues.

Desirable:

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate or Diploma
• Experience gained from working directly on or with site teams in a construction environment.
• Possessing, as a minimum Tech IOSH & working towards Grad/Chartered IOSH or equivalent professional qualification
• Awareness of the integrated quality management and environmental systems and standards (9001/ 45001/14001etc.)
• Construction trade skills such as PASMA, IPAF,
• Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor
• NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety
• Hold a CSR/CSCS card.
• Experience in training, coaching, and mentoring to develop health and safety knowledge.
• Internal Auditor

This is a full-time permanent role with extensive travel.
