After a decade, The Foxhunter, Lucan’s much adored pub has finally reopened!
The iconic venue is located on the N4, just 15km outside of Dublin and has been a favourite with the local community and travellers to the City since it first opened in the early 1900’s.
Having sat idle since 2012, Pure Fitout were tasked with completing a thoughtful restoration and fitout by Press Up Group to return The Foxhunter to its former glory as cosy, traditional pub. With ample seating, plenty of snugs, screens for catching all the sport, dedicated events space all surrounding a large, central bar, The Foxhunter’s timber interior and features make it every inch the traditional, Irish pub.
As well as The Foxhunter itself, there is also an in-house WOWBURGER and The Elm Room - a venue for functions and events that includes private bar and a spacious, seated outdoor terrace. Elephant & Castle has also moved in on-site, next door with the popular, family friendly venue boasting a huge, dedicated kids play area with giant sized game, a climbing wall, movie screen and castle.
The project consisted of the compete interior fitout of each venue and numerous bespoke elements, designed and created by Pure Fitout’s expert craftsmen including The Foxhunter’s mahogany bar, Elephant & Castle’s marble bar and copper bar-top, all shelving and cladding and kids’ play area.
